I don't drink coffee, however, my best friend and room mate does. I bought it for him as a Christmas gift. He raves about it. My parents were here for Christmas. My father had a few cups of coffee made with this machine. He loved it. When he got back home, he commented that the coffee made in his coffee pot (Mr. Coffee) was not very good compared to the Cuisinart. Looks like I know what Dad will be getting for his birthday! HAHA

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
